What was David Oliver doing at this occasion? Brooks arrived at Bahnhof Zoologischer Garten to star in PANDORA’S BOX, which was a NERO production, company run by Seymour Nebenzahl. Was there a connection to Oliver?
I also had a look at the passenger list of the Majestic (born as BISMARCk in 1914, but never finished before the end of WWI and then given to the British as war reparation), and Imagine the Olvers dancing to George Gershwin’s piano playing in the Grand Salon. Gershwin presumably on his way back to the states after Maurice Ravel told him in Paris there was nothing he could teach – „Why become a second rate Ravel when you are already a first rate Gershwin!“
